This annual festival is Broadway Avenue’s biggest event, and this year promises to have something for everyone! Stay tuned for information about the sidewalk sale, musical and dance performances, silent auction items and grand packages, contests and events, and more!

The Broadway Street Fair will take place on Saturday, September 11 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.

Broadway Street Fair is going to have three fantastic stages that will be showcasing various local talents throughout the entire day. See below for the schedules and locations of each stage, or click HERE to view a map.

Modern Country Interiors Main Stage:

The largest of the three stages, this stage will be located on the Oskayak School lawn, just on the corner of Broadway Avenue and Main Street. Thank you to Modern Country Interiors for sponsoring this stage.

Affinity Credit Union Little Stone Stage:

This stage will feature musical solos, duos, or trios. Located on the corner of Broadway Avenue and 11th Street outside of Victoria School, the Little Stone Stage is sponsored by Affinity Credit Union.

Royal Bank of Canada Dance Stage:

The Dance Stage will be located at the corner of Broadway Avenue and 10th Street, and will feature various local dance troupes, as well as some more special guests! This stage is sponsored by the Royal Bank of Canada.

McDougall Gauley LLP Roaming Entertainment:

Peppie the Clown will be providing arm painting, balloon animals, and face painting for the kids from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm!

Super Ron will be doing on-street magic and tricks for everyone from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm!

Silent Auction

Broadway Street Fair is going to be featuring a massive Silent Auction, which will be located in a tent on the corner of Broadway Avenue and Main Street (see map HERE). This impressive auction will boast items donated by many of the Broadway district merchants, as well as a variety of other businesses and organizations.

Also featured in this year’s Silent Auction are some grand package items including the following:

1. Dinner for two at Calories; two tickets to the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra; and a night at the Delta Bessborough
2. Dinner for two at Weczeria; two tickets to Persephone Theatre; and a night at the Radisson Hotel Saskatoon
3. A set of tickets to a Saskatchewan Roughriders game

Kid's Kingdom

Broadway Street Fair is a family-friendly event that offers something for all ages! Behind Victoria School (see map HERE), the Kid’s Kingdom will be set up and will feature activities that the kids are sure to enjoy. Take the little ones on a pony ride; grab a bag of feed and let the kids pet and feed some animals; climb on into the bounce houses and let the children jump and bounce around!

The prices are right for participation!

Pony rides: $3.00
Bag of feed: $1.00
Bounce house entrance: $1.00

Foster’s Shoes Celebrity Dunk Tank:

Stop by and soak some of your favourite local celebrities! With all proceeds from the dunk tank going to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation of Canada, you can donate to a charitable cause AND have fun!

Sandbox in the City Pie-eating Contest:

At 1:45 pm, contestants will line up beside the Silent Auction tent and indulge themselves in a tasty pie from one of Broadway’s own shops as fast as they can! With a great prize package for two including dinner and sporting event tickets, this is one event that is sure to get a little messy! No hands!

The first twenty people to register at the Silent Auction tent get to compete. Registration opens at 10:00 am. Inquire with a volunteer at the tent for more information.

British Car Club:

Lined up at the south end of Broadway near 8th St, a huge collection of antique and collectable cars will be present for your viewing pleasure! Car-enthusiasts and patrons of Street Fair with ‘rusty’ car knowledge alike will be able to enjoy and appreciate this display.

Firetruck display:

Located at the north end of Broadway Avenue near the base of the Broadway bridge, a firetruck will be parked and ready to show off its controls, contraptions, and gadgets for kids and adults alike – unless, of course, it has to take off to put out some fires!
